I had a lovely afternoon at an Inklings Training Day yesterday at Jayne’s house – it was nice to chat to everyone that came and have a wholly crafty afternoon. Thanks so much for your hospitality and creativity Jayne! I haven’t yet had a chance to take a photo of the beautiful things we made, but will hopefully do that today.
Just a quick post today as I have a lot of housework to do. The house seems to have ‘undone’ itself in my absence yesterday afternoon, and we need to put it to rights before school and work begins again tomorrow, so the Lao Tzu quote above is for my benefit. 🙂
Before I march forth to do battle with the vacuum, I’d like to share another owl card – this one I made on the Inklings Weekend away, before I had my very own owl punch. If you are itching to buy your own owl punch too, I just want to let you know they are currently on back order – they have been very popular and the Stampin’ Up! warehouse are waiting for the next shipment to arrive. I’ll let you know when they have restocked.
- Stamp Set: Always
- CS: So Saffron, Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Real Red
- Ink: Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, So Saffron
- Accessories: XL Two Step Owl Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Something else I love that I’ve brought in the new catalogue is a Paper Piercing Tool. In last years catalogue, it was only available in the tool kit, but now you can buy it separately for $6.95. It’s so handy for creating a line of detail like I have above, or piercing multiple layers of cardstock and paper for inserting brads, or even for sewing details on your creations – just pierce the holes first, and then back stitch or running stitch around your cardstock.
I’ll be back tomorrow to share one of our beautiful creations from yesterday which uses the new shimmer paint.
Thanks for taking a peek!
