Don’t worry if you don’t know the name – I’m sure you’ve seen her products before.
So, I went searching for images and found some hilarious 50’s advertising, but ended up using this image, painted by Pearl Frush, one of the most successful female pinup artists of the fifties. I played with adding different buttons, ribbons and linen thread, but in the end decided clean and simple suited the image best.
Cardstock: Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White – that’s it! Sometimes you just have to follow the KISS principle – keep it simple, sweetie!
I have made a few more of these, that are a bit more elaborate, but as they’ll be given as gifts, you’ll just have to wait! Why don’t you try tracking down some 50’s images and make one yourself – it’s great fun!
If you’ve got time, please browse through the other entries – they really made me smile!
